Prosecutor Princess

I have to say, I really liked this drama...until the last few episodes. Don't get me wrong, they were still good, but I just felt like they were so rushed.

Plot summary: Ma Hyeri (Kim So-Yeon) is a very intelligent, rich girl who has a very happy-go-lucky attitude. She gets a prosecutor position, and while she struggles at first, she soon adapts to the life of a prosecutor and meets lawyer Suh Inwoo (Park Shi-Hoo). He is around her all the time, but does he like her, or is there another reason for him to constantly be in her life?

When I started this show, I thought it was really interesting that many of the actors from Brilliant Legacy were in this show. Then, I looked at the page for it on Asianwiki, and saw that they both have the same writer and director! I could really see this as I got further into the show, because there were so many similarities between the shows.
Remember how I complained about there being twenty-eight episodes in Shining Inheritance? Well, I almost wished that there were close to that many in Prosecutor Princess. While Shining Inheritance felt forever long, I felt like it could get really in-depth and the pacing made a lot more sense. This show felt like it was trying to do that in the beginning, but decided it didn't want to be too long, so they shoved everything into the last five episodes. It also frustrated me that Hyeri and Inwoo barely acted like they loved each other until the last ten minutes of the entire show. True, Hyeri's dad said they couldn't be together, but couldn't they express that they loved each other instead of avoiding each other!?
With that said, I really did love the plot of this show. It was different than anything I've watched yet. The writer and director are really good at making unique storylines! From all the dramas I can think of off the top of my head, I can't think of one that had the male lead trying to take revenge, so he targets the daughter. I have watched revenge dramas before i.e. City Hunter, but not one where the female lead was directly related to the person who the revenge was to be enacted on.
Ok, little interjection here, I just have to rant a little about how annoying the female lead was at the beginning. I love the actress, but the role just wasn't right for her while she was still a silly carefree girl. Once her character matured, she was awesome, it was just hard to see her in that role after seeing her in Beating Again (or Falling in Love with Soon Jung). On the other hand, the male lead was awesome the entire time! He showed his emotions well; he could be cute and funny, or sad and crying. I really want to see him in another drama after this!
All in all, though the plot felt very rushed, I was drawn in to the very end. The two main actors had great chemistry, and weren't bad kissers either 😂! I would give this show three and a half out of five, because it was such a great story, and with great actors, but the female lead was just too annoying at the beginning, and the plot felt so rushed.

That's all for Prosecutor Princess. I will be taking a break from KDramas for a couple of weeks until my classes are over, then I'll be watching My Girlfriend is a Gumiho. See you Soon!

Brilliant Legacy (Shining Inheritance)

*WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD!!*         Hey guys! Wow, I've been gone forever! I decided to just post about whole shows rather than individual episodes. That means longer between each post, but oh well.         So, for starters, this show has a grand total of TWENTY-EIGHT episodes! This really isn't a lot compared to some other shows I've heard about, which have anywhere from thirty to fifty, but it's definitely the longest one I've ever watched. If you're ever interested in watching it, just know that I had to slowly make my way through about fifteen episodes before the story actually got interesting. It's definitely worth it though!          Plot summary: Eun sung (Han Hyo Joo)  is a twenty-something year-old girl who comes back from studying abroad in America to visit her father Pyung Joong (Jeon In Tak) who owns a construction company, her teenaged broth...

Full House Episode 3

This show just keeps getting better and better! The chemistry (chemistry with disliking each other?) between the leads is amazing. It's going to be great when they actually start liking each other.           I thought the whole marriage contract was sad/funny. Everyone except the two lead think it's real, and they can't tell anyone about it! I'm sure someone will figure it out soon, since they don't act like a couple at all. I'm actually surprised that no one HAS noticed, but then again, it IS a TV show.           I think the characters have really changed too, just in two episodes. I'm the first one, they seemed more over the top and crazy; now they just seem like more regular people. On a side note, do you notice how they keep dressing Hye Won in the skimpiest outfits ever. Aahh, early 2000s style.          So I think I'm going to cut down to one drama at a time now. I think tha...
